Membership
Is the membership a contract or can I cancel at any time?
You can cancel, however there are cancellation terms that need to be followed. Please reach out to our Membership Manager to learn more about these cancellation terms.
Do you offer family memberships?
We offer a Secondary Platinum Family Add-On. If you sign up as a Platinum member, you can add family members that are 18 years old or older for ½ price. Each family member would need their own add on membership or family members can utilize guest passes.
How old do you have to be to become a member?
18 years old
How many guest passes come with a membership?
The Platinum membership comes with (3) guest passes per month. You can bring the same person or a different person each time. Passes do not carry over each month.
Do guest passes come with a Gold membership?
No, a guest will pay $10 per visit.
As a member, am I able to use the other MSC locations?
Yes, your membership is reciprocal, so you can use your benefits at all locations as a member.
Can I bring my child with me to use the range?
Yes, children 10 years or older can use the range if accompanied by an adult.
Do members get discounts on retail purchases?
No, but members will get access to members-only sales and will receive first access to highly desirable products before they go public. Members will also receive discounts on training, classes, and rentals.
What are the Range Enhancement Fees used for?
The range enhancement fees help us maintain of the range and update technologies.
General
Do you do FFL transfers?
Yes, we do. Please have the dealer request a copy of our FFL by sending an email to: pittsburghinfo@midwestshootingcenter.com. Regardless of shipping notifications, please await a call from the MSC team to notify you that the firearm is available for pick up.
Will you have staff to monitor the range?
Yes, we will always have certified Range Safety Officers onsite.
What can we shoot on the range and what is highest caliber allowed?
You can shoot handguns, shotguns (buck and slug), AR-15s and rifles up to and including .308.
How old do you need to be to rent or purchase a handgun?
21 years old.
Do I have to be a member to shoot on the range?
No, we are open to the public as well.
How much is it to use the range as a non-member?
It’s $20 an hour for a single person or $30 for two people to share a lane.
Will you have a Gunsmith at your location?
We will have an Armorer on site for, cleanings, scopes, triggers, sights, and lasers. All gunsmithing work will be sent to our Lima location. We will take care of the logistics.
If you are a felon, are you allowed to purchase a firearm or shoot on the range?
No, under federal law, it’s a crime for someone convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor domestic violence offense to possess a firearm or ammunition.
Do you allow outside instructors to use the range to qualify students?
Outside instructors are not allowed to use the range to qualify their students.
Training
Do I have to be a member to sign up for training?
No, but we do offer a training discount for Platinum members.
Do you run background checks to take a CCW class?
No, we don’t. Once the class is completed and you receive your certificate, then you will have to apply in person at your local Sheriff’s office. They will let you know the process from there.
Do you offer classes for children?
Yes, we offer a Youth First Shot class for children 10 years old and older.
Do you offer training for people that don’t want to take a class?
Yes, we offer one-on-one training with our certified instructors.
Will you offer advanced classes?
We will offer intermediate/advance CCW classes. We will also bring in celebrity trainers to teach a variety of classes.
Can I take a class if I don’t own a firearm?
Yes, we will offer a variety of firearm rentals. Some classes include rentals as well.
